The addition of fire retarding agents milled directly into the rubber compound created a self extinguishing feature which enables it to be used with type “B” vents. Apply silicone sealant between base, roof, and to the top of flashing

Use fasteners to complete sealing. For UPC installation, fastener spacing may not exceed 1-1/2” (38mm)

Install supplied cable tie at uppermost part of Retrofit and apply sealant to any gaps.

Choose appropriate Retrofit. If necessary trim opening to pipe diameter.

Wrap Retrofit around pipe and install all snap rivets to seal flange

Press Master Flash ® down, bending it to conform to roof profile or roof irregularities. A blunt tool will help press flashing into tight roof angles.

Step 1: For retrofit installation, cut center rubber at base of the stainless joiner and pull apart.

Wrap Retrofit around pipe, join the interlocking teeth starting from the top and proceeding down.

Squeeze Gripper tightly with pliers to crimp, start at the top and work down to the base.

Apply sealant to the underside of the base. Shape Retrofit to roof by pressing the aluminum base to the roof contours.

Using tin snips, cut the flashing to fit pipe, starting opposite the Gripper

Apply additional sealant to Gripper joiner seam and to all areas that could be a potential leak risk.

Fasten Retrofit to roof using self- drilling screws, leave no gaps between base and the roof contours.

O n a sales trip in early 2007, a very sharp man asked how the "Green Movement" had influenced our company. Although we are a family oriented company that has always been socially and environmentally conscious, I have never been asked that question before and it prompted the following statement. Throughout the years, Aztec Washer Company has continued to research and implement new policies to conserve and protect our natural resources and reduce energy consumption wherever possible. This policy is applied to our manufacturing process as well as our general use. We are proud to say that we recycle all of our scrap materials from the production process throughout packaging and shipping. Aztec also designed and produced the very first and only bonded washer/screw head powder paint and assembly machine in use today. With the removal of harmful VOC's no longer a concern for Aztec , we chose to make this revolutionary paint line available to the rest of the world.
